      • How old do I have to be to take the Teen Driver Course?

        A student must be at least 14 1/2 years of age to enroll in the driving education course. Usually, it is better to wait until it is closer to your 15th birthday because you will remember all the information clearly.

      • Do I have to pay upfront or all at once?

        We don't require payment until the first day of class. All that is due is the $150 deposit fee. If you need a payment plan, the remaining amount must be paid by the last day of the 3 or 4 week Classroom hours. 

      • How long do I need to be on a learner's permit before taking my test?

        Anyone under 18 years of age must hold a permit for 6 months before taking the driver’s license test. After completing this requirement, you may test for your Driver License.

      • Will I still need to go to the Texas DPS after I take my road test?

        You will still need to go to the DPS with the Parent or Guardian who accompanied you to your road test. At this time DPS is the only authorized office that issues Driver License.
