        1. Impact Texas Adult Drivers Video Certificate

        ITAD

        REQUIRED FOR ANYONE OVER 18 YEARS OF AGE

        In September 2014, The State of Texas made it a requirement for any person applying for a Driver License in Texas must watch the appropriate Impact Texas Driver video for their age category. For 18-19 years old applicants, if your driver education certificate is for a TEEN course, you must watch the Impact video for 16-17 years old applicants.The ITAD video must be watched maximum of 90 days prior to Road TestMust also print out Impact Video Certificate

        2. Texas Driver License with "B" Restriction

        Anyone 18 years and older will need to have their unexpired B-restricted Driver License to be eligible to take a Road Test at a Third Party Skills Testing site.


        The B-restricted license allows an adult to practice behind-the-wheel skills while accompanied by an adult, licensed driver in the front seat.

        3. Proof of Insurance Required only if Tester is using personal vehicle

        Insurance

         

        We require proof of insurance for the vehicle that will be used on the Road Test.FRONT and REAR license plates are required on the vehicle, unless your vehicle has a temporary paper registration, which is only required on the rear of the vehicle. The vehicle will be inspected for a working horn, all lights working, good tires and brakes, mirrors, and anything that could affect the safe operation of the vehicle during the road test.
        Use of Our School Vehicle$25 charge for use of our vehicle.
        You will be required to sign a waiver, and will be liable for any damages that may occur during the
        Road Skills Evaluation and/or Road Skills Test.

        BEFORE ROAD TEST


        1) Please arrive at least 10 minutes before your Road Test appointment. DUE TO COVID-19 applicants may be asked to WEAR a FACE MASK DURING ROAD TEST. We reserve the right to refuse service to an applicant if we feel there is a danger to anyone's health.
        2) We will request and verify all of the paperwork from the eligibility list above. *WE WILL NOT BE ABLE TO ADMINISTER THE ROAD TEST IF THERE IS ANYTHING MISSING*
        3) If your paperwork has been previously processed by the Texas Department of Public Safety in an attempt to pass a Road Test, you MUST bring the official proof of payment from the DPS for us to know that your documents have been reviewed and processed. Otherwise, you will need to bring all of the documents for us to process here.
        4) For additional information please consult the Texas Department of Public Safety Website.        
        5) No Refunds on Failed Road Tests. 
        6) We are a Third Party Skills Test Center, only authorized to administer the Official DPS Road Test. At this time the Texas DPS is the only agency authorized to issue a Driver License. 
        7) No passengers of any age allowed in the vehicle during the Road Test. 

      After Road Test

      At this moment, the Texas Department of Public Safety is the only agency authorized to issue a Driver License.

      We will give you a sealed envelope with the test results & paperwork from the eligibility listDO NOT OPEN envelope. You have 90 days to take results to the DPSYou MUST schedule an appointment on the DPS website to submit testing results from a Third Party Testing Center. The temporary alternate mail-in process for Driver License is being discontinued as of June 15, 2020.
